RAPID NeuroFascial Reset

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset, is a new soft tissue, movement based. therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous systems role in releasing tension and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Some of the conditions that can be quickly resolved with RAPID ART include:

headaches /migraines

back pain

carpal tunnel syndrome

shin splints

shoulder pain

sciatica

plantar fasciitis

knee problems

tennis/ golfers elbow

whiplash

TMJ

frozen shoulder

bursitis

bunions and arthritic joints

Over Used Muscles

These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.

How do overuse conditions occur?

Over-used muscles (and other soft tissues) change in three important ways:

acute conditions (pulls, tears, collisions, etc),

accumulation of small tears (micro-trauma)

not getting enough oxygen (hypoxia).

Each of these factors can cause your body to produce tough, dense scar tissue in the affected area. This scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness.

Neurological Hypersensitivity

These conditions all have one important thing in common: the pain they cause is often a direct result of neurological hypersensitivity-meaning that the nervous system has become hyper-vigilant  and sensitized.

How does this happen?

Neurological hypersensitivity is the direct cause of sympathetic dominance in the body-in other words the brain is stressed changing a lock down in the bodily tissue this can happen in several important ways:

acute conditions (pulls, tears, collisions, etc),

accumulation of small tears (micro-trauma)

not getting enough oxygen (hypoxia).

Each of these factors can cause the brain to lock down the tissues producing pain, loss of strength and decreased range of motion in the affected area. This neurological lock literally binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As this process continues, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendinitis, and nerves can become trapped.

What is a treatment like?

Every session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The RAPID provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.

RAPID sessions may be uncomfortable during the movement phase of the treatment. This occurs as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function.

Why choose RAPID?

Many clients choose RAPID because of the rapid response to treatment. This helps active individuals return to their regular activities quickly.
